Delete your Verbiform account

Last updated November 1, 2026

You can delete your Verbiform account and everything we store for it yourself, from the phone app or on the web, at any time. It takes a minute and cannot be undone. This page explains how, and what is deleted and when. It is part of our Privacy Policy.

In the app (iPhone, iPad and Android)

  1. Open Verbiform and go to Account.
  2. Choose Delete account and type your account email to confirm.
  3. Enter the code we email to that address. Your account is deleted as soon as you confirm.

The app also erases that account’s records, recordings and photos from the phone you delete it on. Other accounts signed in on the same phone are not touched.

On the web

  1. Sign in at app.verbiform.com.
  2. Open Account (app.verbiform.com/account) and choose Delete account.
  3. Type your account email and enter the code we email you.

Can’t sign in any more? Email support@verbiform.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.

What is deleted, and when

As soon as you confirm, we delete from our servers: your account and sign-in sessions; your synced records, transcripts, recordings, photos and signatures; your forms, contacts, jobs and documents; workspaces you own (their members lose access); share links and customer links; paired devices and anything they were still uploading; reports you sent us; and your usage history. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke Verbiform’s Sign in with Apple authorization. When we hold no Apple token for you, the iPhone app first asks Apple to confirm it is you so the authorization can be revoked; on the web or Android, you can remove Verbiform yourself in your Apple ID settings, under Sign in with Apple. A subscription you pay for on the web is cancelled, and one bought through Google Play is cancelled at the end of the period you paid for.

Records that only ever lived on a device (for example clinical records, which never leave the phone or browser that made them) are not on our servers at all. They are removed from the device you delete the account on. On any other device, use Sign out & remove my data or erase the app’s data there.

What stays, and for how long

  • Backups: our nightly database backups are kept for 14 days, then deleted. A deleted account is gone from every backup within 14 days.
  • Trash, before you delete the account: a record you delete goes to Trash and can be restored for 30 days, then it is removed for good. Deleting the account removes Trash at once.
  • App Store subscriptions: Apple bills these, and only you can cancel one, in your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancel it there too, or it keeps renewing.
  • Billing records: Stripe, Apple and Google keep their own billing records. We keep an app store subscription’s record with your account removed from it, so a late notice from Apple or Google is recognised and ignored, and our administrator log keeps a note that a deletion happened, with your email removed. We keep anything else only where the law requires it.
